With Thanksgiving coming tomorrow, I want to talk about, well, thankfulness.
Thankful:
Greek: eucharistos- properly, thankful for God’s grace working out what is (eternally) good; grateful, which literally means “grace-ful (thankful) for God’s grace” (what brings His eternal favor).
Devote yourselves to prayer, keeping alert in it with an attitude of thanksgiving; -Colossians 4:2
What do you have to be thankful for this holiday season?
I am thankful for Abba providing me with food, shelter, and water. I am thankful for the job he provides Brad with, to protect our country and the opportunities to share his love with people that don’t know him. I am thankful for my family that lives across the United States to be able to gather together and share memories and a warm, home cooked dinner. I am thankful for my church family back home and them showing the Love of Christ throughout the Blue Water Area. I am thankful for my new church family, that they have welcomed me with open arms! I am thankful for God being who he is and the life he’s given me!
Many of us overlook that we have a roof over our head, family to gather with, and food to eat and clean water to drink. I’ve realized lately more and more, that we really have nothing to complain about that we can replace with thankfulness.
I pray that you enjoy this Holiday Season filled with Abba’s love. I pray that Holy Spirit reveals to you how much there is to be thankful for and you continually come to God with an attitude of Thanksgiving. Don’t let Thanksgiving be the only day you show Thanks to God, your provider, comforter, great physician, *enter what you need here*.
