Gone are the days that we needed to enter a sanctuary to worship God and see His glory. We are now temples of the Holy Spirit! Let us not forsake gathering together, each of us have gifts to build up the Body of Christ. But, may all of us gain the revelation that TRUE worship is not dependent on a building or limited to Sunday’s & Wednesday’s. Worship is fully dependent on our heart posture as we carry the Holy Spirit!
•From here on, worshiping the Father will not be a matter of the right place but with the right heart. For God is a Spirit, and he longs to have sincere worshipers who worship and adore him in the realm of the Spirit and in truth.” John 4:23-24 TPT
•Never restrain or put out the fire of the Holy Spirit. 1 Thessalonians 5:19 TPT
•And every day, in the Temple and from house to house, they continued to teach and preach this message: “Jesus is the Messiah.” Acts of the Apostles 5:42 NLT
•And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near. Hebrews 10:25 NLT
“Everything is permissible,” but not everything is helpful. “Everything is permissible,” but not everything builds up. No one should seek his own good, but the good of the other person. 1 Corinthians 10:23-24 HCSB
Every single day we get up and live this life here on earth. But, are we truly making an eternal impact for the Kingdom of Heaven? I believe that because you are reading this you have a desire to lead by example and bring people close to the Father. But how? Many of us aren’t behind the pulpit. The wonderful news is that you do not have to be. Your example leads every single day!
It is essential that we are mindful to keep in step with the Spirit. There are unbelievers and believers alike searching to draw near unto the Father. As Children of God we leave behind an example. One that leads people closer to Christ or one that leads them further away. Everyday life is a ministry to heal the broken hearted, heal the sick, and set the captive free. By being in His presence, you are continually being formed to look, speak, and act more like the Father. That is wonderful news for the grocery clerk, the gas station attendant, your kids, and spouse!
We must be mindful of things we do because we are ambassadors of heaven. We represent Christ. After all, to be a Christian is to be ‘Christ-like’ also known as a ‘little Christ’. Being mindful of reflecting Him to others will leave us to really be intentional on how we live day to day life and how this effects those that surround us. What may be permissible may not be beneficial for others. We must not only think of ourselves, but the influence we are stewarding for the Kingdom of Heaven. All we do should be done from a place of building up the Body Of Christ. This includes standing up for injustice and correcting wrongs. But, we must do all of this from a place of humility, honor, and love.
Reflection Questions:
What does your example say about you?
When people see you, are they met with the Father?
Ask Holy Spirit to help you be mindful of the example you leave behind to others. Ask Him to help you be intentional about being in His presence. In doing so, who you truly are in Him will not only be revealed in Word but activate you into action!
