God never gives an even exchange…
You pour out your love on him, he pours it right back.
You come in praising him with anxiety, he leaves you with his peace.
You come in with depression, you leave with joy.
You come in with burdens, he brings you freedom.
We go in to pour out our love upon him and we end up blessed. Our Father is a giver even when we are giving thanks unto him!
I will praise You with my whole heart; Before the gods I will sing praises to You. I will worship toward Your holy temple, And praise Your name For Your lovingkindness and Your truth; For You have magnified Your word above all Your name. In the day when I cried out, You answered me, And made me bold with strength in my soul.
All the ladies out there or people with jewelry, we have to get our jewelry cleaned right? Every 6 months if you have a warranty we are called to take it in where we bought it and have it cleaned professionally. When we do the debris, useless junk, and fifth is cleaned and we are left with a beautiful gem that sparkles every which way we turn it. When we compare this to our walk, we are the gem that sparkles. The sparkle that we shine is the light that we are called to be through Jesus Christ to spread the Good News and make disciples. When we are disobedient to what God calls us to do or sin without confessing and repenting, it is like the debris on the ring, it dulls our sparkle. The best part about this is that we have a professional cleaner we do not have to wait 6 months to see. We can call on the name of Jesus and declare his promises, fully understanding that nothing has to dull our sparkle if we lay it at the feet of Jesus. He isn’t like the Kay’s Jewelry cleaner that forgot to clean the bridge of your ring. He covered us in his crimson blood to make us white as snow. We are forgiven so that no shame, fear, or condemnation can overtake our minds and dull our sparkle. Jesus paid the ultimate prices for our forgiveness. So the next time that the enemy wants to dull your shine, go to Jesus and lay it at his feet and remember you are made new. “Bring joy to your servant, Lord, for I put my trust in you. You, Lord, are forgiving and good, abounding in love to all who call to you.”-Psalm 86:4-5 NIV
“In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace 8that he lavished on us. With all wisdom and understanding, 9he made known to us the mystery of his will according to his good pleasure, which he purposed in Christ, 10to be put into effect when the times reach their fulfillment-to bring unity to all things in heaven and on earth under Christ..”-Ephesians 1:7-10 NIV
“Come now, let us settle the matter,” says the LORD. “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool.”-Isaiah 1:18 NIV
