Your Heart’s Intentions & The Work-Place

You may be a teacher, pastor, waitress, or you may be a stay-at-home Mom.
My question for you to reflect on today is, are you doing it for the glory of God?

We all have different purposes that lead to one big purpose, which is being a vessel to build the kingdom of God.

No matter who you are, where you are, what you are doing at this very moment, do it for God.

I don’t care if you are washing a car…do it for the glory of God.

If you are a missionary, do it for the glory of God.

If you are raising children, do it for the glory of God.

If you are changing that child’s dirty diaper, DO IT FOR THE GLORY OF GOD!

We can be doing all these things, including being a pastor, for the wrong intentions. We could be doing them to fulfill our own need and for our own satisfaction.

Ask Holy Spirit to search your heart this afternoon and see where you stand.

Are you rooted in the Love of Jesus, founded on the Word of God, committed to The Body? By Body, I mean every believer. Not just the church you attend. WE ARE ONE.

“So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.”-1 Corinthians 10:31

When you are at your job, or in your normal routine, do you view your boss as the one you are working for? Or in your heart are you doing it for God?

Yes, we fall under authority of our bosses. However, God placed those people in leadership for a reason.

Let everything you do be filled with love and grace. Let your work glorify and honor God. Work wholeheartedly no matter what you are doing, no matter where you are. There is a reason for the season.
