Book Review

Hannah’s story is one that all women can relate to. Hannah is a woman who is relentless, passionate, and determined after what God had promised her. The Hannah Anointing by Michelle is a short but meaty novel for all women that are enduring the season of waiting. Michelle uses Hannah and much more scripture to equip the reader to wait like Hannah and be fruitful during the wait.

I feel that this book came to me in my wait at just the right time. After reading this book, I can say that I will be passing it onto friends and keeping one for safe keeping here in my home with me. The reason why the Hannah Anointing is so powerful is the scripture chosen to convery the message, easy application, and prayers that unfold inside. As you read through the pages you are able to relate to who Hannah is and all the other Hannah’s out there, knowing you are not alone in the wait.

I believe one of the most beautiful things about this book is the way that it ends (which is hard to say for a book lover). Michelle McClain Walter’s has a way of pointing out that Hannah did not have an example to follow in her wait, however she left us one of the greatest one’s to follow. Throughout this novel I feel like I got to know Hannah and it has given me even more of a love for God and his word.

Throughout the Hannah Annointing you will be taken through an adventure with Hannah and the God that so loves her. You will see how she handled things with such grace and elegance, continuing to worahip the Lord despite the wait. Throughout this book you are taught how to wait gracefully, fruitufully, and handle what tries to come against you in the wait just as Jesus would want you to.

I have read some wonderful books in my day. However, there is just something about The Hannah Anointing that you take with you well after the book is closed. Anything under 5 stars would be unjustified. This is one of the books that will change your life the moment you start to read it!

Take The Day Off: Receiving God’s Gift of Rest-Robert Morris (Book Review)

Book Information

  • Title: Take The Day Off, Receiving God’s Gift of Rest
  • Author: Robert Morris
  • Publisher: FaithWords
  • ISBN: 1546010165
  • Price: $19.80 (Hardcover)

Book Review:

Robert Morris’ Take The Day Off is a book that will bring you from a place of weariness and burn out to a place of faith and understanding of what a true rest from God the Father is. This book has the ability to change your life when the wisdom found inside is applied. The one thing I admire about Morris’ books are that they are jammed packed with biblical wisdom. For me personally, he brought me a revelation of what ‘sabbath being made for man’ truly means. This book was published at a time in my life where I was weary and needed a true rest. I was working 70+ hours a week as a salaried employee and felt that there was no way out. However, my desire was to honor God on the Sabbath because while reading this book I knew the benefits and what a gift sabbath truly is. In Take The Day Off some of the profound points that Morris had made is that we so easily stray away from the importance of Sabbath when God placed Sabbath in the 10 commandments. He also shared some of his testimony on how observing the Sabbath was learned and how it drastically changed his life.

Overall, I love this book and the wisdom found on every single page. This is a book that I prayed for. Before reading this book, I did not understand Sabbath or how to observe Sabbath. But with Robert Morris greatest book yet, Take The Day off I was given revelation of what Sabbath is and how much it can benefit every single one of us. This book goes in my top five favorite books because it has changed my life. I give Take The Day Off 5 stars and recommend it to everyone who deals with the world we live in today.

Side Note…

Be on the look out for further testimony about how this book and observing the Sabbath has revolutionized my life in upcoming posts.

Book Review

Wow, wow, wow. There are very few books outside the bible that can revolutionize your life. But, The Art of Prayer is one of them! I have never read one of Kenneth E. Hagin’s book until now. But I can assure you that I will be reading more. The Art of Prayer, A Handbook On How To Pray, is a novel inspired through the Holy Spirit and Sound Biblical Teaching on the different types of prayer and how build your prayer life. I LOVED the amount of scripture that was found throughout the pages of this book. There is nothing more important than sound biblical teaching when it comes to spiritual disciplines.

Hagin walks you through each individual type of prayer and how to apply this to your everyday walk. You could almost feel the anointing come off the pages as your read through. This read did take me a long time to read. However, the amount of time it took me to read is not due to dryness or poor penmanship. The things you will learn about prayer through this book is for those who are hungry for more and more of God. One of my favorite parts of the book is where he talks about intercessory prayer and how he was awoken in the middle of the night. He tells of several testimonies of how God has used him to pray for others which everyone can easily relate to.

Out of all of the books I have read about prayer, Kenneth E. Hagin’s The Art of Prayer is my absolute favorite. I do not think there is a single page that is not marked on with highlighter or notes. If you desire more intimacy with God, The Son, and Holy Spirit through your prayer life, if you do not know where to even begin in prayer, or are someone that is found in the middle, I highly recommend this book. I can read this time and time again.

5/5 for The Art of Prayer!
