Love Straight To Your Inbox. (Or In My Case, A Mailbox)

A couple weeks ago the Holy Spirit told me to pray that I would recieve His love straight to my mailbox. He told me it would be out of people’s obedience to His voice & blow my expectations.
Every day over the past week, I have received care packages, notes, gifts, and an abundance of love straight to my inbox, just like He promised.
I am blown away each day as I go to my mailbox and find something new that extends his love. Truth be told, I went out reluctantly today, thinking there was going to be an end to it. Holy Spirit gently reminded me, “There is no end to my love” & I pulled out another handwritten note from a friend.

My encouragement to you today my friend is to set your expectations upon His love and expect His goodness. If you feel like fainting, keep trusting and not in your own strength. I know what it’s like to have a season that feels like it will never end. The suffering comes in waves upon waves and you realize HE is the only reason you’re not drowning. His grace is what has given you strength. He is the only one that has carried you through. But I also know what it’s like to tangibly feel His comfort and see His love in the midst of the darkest moments. His light pierces even the the darkest seasons of your life.

Draw near to him.
Seek him.
You will find him.
He is the only love that truly satisfies.

It will never grow cold, run dry, or run out. His love is never ending.

•Even when I go through the darkest valley, I fear no danger, for you are with me; your rod and your staff — they comfort me.  You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.
Psalms 23:4‭-‬5 CSB
•I  would  have  lost  heart, unless I had believed That I would see the goodness of the Lord In the land of the living. Wait on the Lord ; Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the Lord !
Psalms 27:13‭-‬14 NKJV
•Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and the God of all comfort.  He comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any kind of affliction, through the comfort we ourselves receive from God. For just as the sufferings of Christ overflow to us, so also through Christ our comfort overflows.
2 Corinthians 1:3‭-‬5 CSB

Sadly Mistaken: The Truth About God’s Love Despite Our Mess

We make mistakes, every single one of us. Sometimes, we even chose to do the wrong thing and feel regret later. I’ve done the wrong thing more than I am happy to say. What does God have to say about these mistakes?

Oftentimes, we feel the pain of our decisions later. It could be instant, hours, days, or even years. But no matter the mistake or decisions that I have made, Jesus met me with his grace.

“Though they stumble, they will never fall, for the Lord holds them by the hand.”
Psalms 37:24 NLT

We serve a God who loves unconditionally because that is who he is, love. He does not base his love upon how many times we have missed the mark or how many times we have done something amazing for the Kingdom. He just loves us because he is love.

One of the biggest truths that has been revealed to me is that nothing is too big for grace or mercy. No mistake or chosen wrongful action can outweigh the decision he made for us over 2000 years ago on that cross. When we had nothing to give, he still chose us. He loves us that much.

Do not hold yourself to contempt when Jesus calls you forgiven. The enemy loves to try to keep us tied down in the lies of failure, fear, and condemnation. But the beautiful thing is that everytime the devil feeds us a lie, Jesus died to reveal the truth and set us free.

Today, you and I stand together not wound up in past regret and condemnation or worry about the time we have missed the mark. We kneel together before the cross thankful for Jesus who has set us free and is working everything out for our good. We praise together his Holy Name in thankfulness that his love is not based upon performance but based upon who he is, love. Nothing can separate us from his love. Nothing.

Rooted In Him.

Therefore as you have received Christ Jesus the Lord, walk in [union with] Him [reflecting His character in the things you do and say—living lives that lead others away from sin], having been deeply rooted [in Him] and now being continually built up in Him and [becoming increasingly more] established in your faith, just as you were taught, and overflowing in it with gratitude.
COLOSSIANS 2:6‭-‬7 AMP

There is a deep need for us as Christian’s to have our roots running deep into Jesus Christ himself. Being rooted actually means being thoroughly grounded. Jesus often used plants, fields, and other things in nature to help us understand what he was actually trying to say. So, what is God’s word speaking to us here? Why are roots so important?

Roots are needed first and foremost for survival. Without roots, the plant cannot get the proper nutrients that is needed to survive. Without Jesus Christ, his word, and fellowship with him we cannot spiritually grow. He is the God of growth. If we have out roots in something else such as things of this world we are being fed something other than life. The second reason why plants and we as believers need roots is to avoid erosion of the soil (foundation). When storms come we no longer need to worry if we are going to be carried away. Jesus Christ being our soild foundation is established, steadfast in every situation, and our refuge and protector in the storm.

Being rooted in Jesus Christ is essential for our spiritual growth. Not only is being rooted in Jesus Christ essential for our growth, but this causes us to be able to withstand whatever the fallen world throws at us.

Is what your rooted in giving you life? Let your roots run deep into him, bearing ripe and juicy fruit in every season!

A Daddy Who Celebrates (Devotion)

So thankful for Abba who celebrates with us when we do things right! It’s not just a little celebration, “everything in him” celebrates!
Even when we miss the mark we are met with his love, mercy, and grace.
Abba is out biggest encourager, our biggest help, and the only one we can always rely on.
I am so thankful to have Abba.
He fulfills every void with love, trades worry for peace, and nothing can seperate us from his love.
Let the mediation of our hearts and minds be pleasing to you, our strength our redeemer. May we only speak what makes you “celebrate”.

Approved By God (Even With Improper Spelling)

Too many of us seek praise from flawed humans and end up pleasing people rather than choosing to do what glorifies God.
Jesus did not seek the glory of man (see John 5:41-44) & he is our perfect example to follow.
So why do we as humans tend to care? Living in a world full of comparison is dangerous when God has called you to be his unique individual creation.
When we know we are approved and appointed by God, created uniquely on purpose, there is no reason to seek human praise.
God has chosen us long ago.
Be unashamed and unafraid to be who God has called you to be.
We were created to stand out.
