Going To War Without A Weapon

Would you go into a war without protection or your weapon? No…I wouldn’t either. Then how come it is so easy for us to go to battle without our Spiritual Armor & Weapon? It instructs us in Galatians 6:11 “Put on the full armor of God [for His precepts are like the splendid armor of a heavily-armed soldier], so that you may be able to [successfully] stand up against all the schemes and the strategies and the deceits of the devil.”
EPHESIANS 6:11 AMP

Therefore, put on the complete armor of God, so that you will be able to [successfully] resist and stand your ground in the evil day [of danger], and having done everything [that the crisis demands], to stand firm [in your place, fully prepared, immovable, victorious]. So stand firm and hold your ground, having tightened the wide band of truth (personal integrity, moral courage) around your waist and having put on the breastplate of righteousness (an upright heart), and having strapped on your feet the gospel of peace in preparation [to face the enemy with firm-footed stability and the readiness produced by the good news]. Above all, lift up the [protective] shield of faith with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one . And take the helmet of salvation , and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God.
EPHESIANS 6:13‭-‬17 AMP

Not only reading, but applying the word of God to your life is what protects you. I’m not saying that life will be perfect…But when we know the Truth of God’s Word we can recognize the lies of satan.

God’s word is full of promises. Things we need to pray for. Im happy to say God doesn’t break promises either! When we don’t read our word, we lack wisdom and understanding of what is going on in the spiritual realm, how we can put God above everything else, and really love our neighbors. The list goes on, your bible is your instruction manual to life!

I have heard many times that people do not have time to read scripture. I know it can be difficult. Why wouldn’t satan want to stop you from spending time with God? Am I calling your kids, husband, work, ect., satan? Of course not. But when you put God above all else, your life will improve, including those relationships.

When we read our word diligently and pray those promises, they come to life because God watches over his word. The possibilities are endless!“But Jesus looked at them and said, “With people [as far as it depends on them] it is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
MATTHEW 19:26 AMP

I don’t know your life…I don’t know what your mornings look like…However, I know that I want to be equipped with my armor in the morning to fight the battles that might transpire for me. I am not a morning person. So, when I first began really diving into the word first thing in the morning it was difficult. I would get distracted, be so tired my eyes wouldn’t stay open, or not wake up in time. I got really frustrated, really fast! I recognized that it was satan wanting to stunt my relationship with Abba. NOT TODAY SATAN. I asked God, “God I’m really having a hard time spending time with you in the morning, will you please limit my distractions? It says in your word that I need my armor, please wake me up refreshed, focused, and ready to retain and put into practice what I read.” Next morning, I woke up early, without an alarm! (Very rare with the shift I used to work!)

God wants to spend time with you! He wants you to be a doer of the word and light of the world. If you’re struggling getting in the word, you’re not alone! I will be putting up more helpful tips and reasons why it is important to read scripture.

I hope you all have a wonderful day! & if we don’t talk before then, a very Merry CHRISTmas!

Growing Pains Part II

I am so thankful to have God with me every step of the way.
I am thankful for who he is.
I am thankful for the strength he provides me when I am weak.
I am thankful for the plan he has spoken over me and my life.

I love relying on God because he’s constant, he’s dependable, and he always brings the darkest of situations to light.

I have been battling lately. I mean, the enemy hit me so hard today that my body is to the point of physically hurting.
I shouted at the enemy so loud today that I was a child of God that I’m pretty sure he felt a piece of God’s wrath upon him.

Today, I had more than a couple rather poopy situations arise, but God was just like, “Do you trust me?”
And then he was like…
“Watch this turn out for the good!”

If there has been any good coming out of this, seems like forever, season, it is that I really have been tested to trust God and rely on Him. This season is growing me deep founded roots in nothing but The Loving Father. I have learned the importance of prayer and the beauty and power behind his word. I have learned more about who God truly is and my identity. I have learned more in this valley than I ever could’ve in highest point of the mountain top.
With that being said, even with all the body aches, tears, and mistakes I’ve made…
I am so thankful for this season. It has brought me growth and deep rooted understanding.

I know that he is with me wherever I go, with every step I take, speaking life and love into what seems like hopeless situations. I know that I have no reason to worry because he has a plan and has already spoken what is to come and what will be. I know in times like these where I need strength to fight that he will provide me with just that. I know that God is a loving Father and he is here to help me into victory not defeat.

Coffee With God (Part 1)

I love that I have guidance for every choice I make and even if I mess up, God creates it into something beautiful. I love that God loves us so much that he looks at every detail of our life and accounts for every tear. The more time I spend with him, the more I love him. The more I come to understand him, the more I realize how many deep rooted lies the enemy has led me to believe. I am thankful for God who pays attention to the little things and shows me love through every situation❤️ #Thankful #ItsTheLittleThings #MyBestFriend #PapaGod #Beloved #Victory #Hope #Faith #HitsMeInTheFeels #ChristianBlog #DailyDevotion #CoffeeWithJesus #ThatRedheadGirl11

Relating back to my last post, today, I am going to choose to focus on what’s good. I pray that we pay closer attention to the detail of Gods love for us. Today is going to be a great day!

What do you think about most? (Face palm Tanja, face palm)

“Finally, believers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable and worthy of respect, whatever is right and confirmed by God’s word, whatever is pure and wholesome, whatever is lovely and brings peace, whatever is admirable and of good repute; if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think continually on these things [center your mind on them, and implant them in your heart].”-‭‭PHILIPPIANS‬ ‭4:8‬ ‭AMP‬‬

“We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.”-‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭10:5‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Holy Spirit was like Tannnnnjaaaaa, girlllllll, will you please focus on where your thoughts are and take them captive if they’re not of me? & I was like ohhhhhhhhhh…that’s what’s been going on. *Ah-Ha!*Sometimes I wonder if God laughs at me or even does a face palm. My flesh can be so stubborn sometimes. Anyone who knows me, knows that I can be stubborn.

I am laying down my old self and focusing on who God has called me to be. The stupid devil absolutely loves to lie to you and remind you of who you used to be. I have felt an overwhelming stress, anxiety, and depression. All of these things are not of Our Loving Father. Sometimes, I have to tell these spirits to go away, multiple times a day. That is just the season I’m in.

Our attitude is everything. We can focus on all the little things that are wrong in our life or we can focus on the promise that God makes everything turn out for the good (‭‭Romans‬ ‭8:28‬). Even if something huge happens, trust in The Lord that he will turn even the darkest of situations into light.

Pastor Kim shared that she keeps a journal of answered prayers & blessings so she is able to look at them through the different trials and seasons of life. I am so happy that Holy Spirit told me to do just that. Now, in times like these, I’m able to reflect upon all the wonderful blessings God has done in this past year and a half. The Word, prayer, fellowship, and my prayer journal have helped me so much.

Focus on how blessed you are, even when you feel like you’re a mess.

My thoughts have been a little off lately…

Where are your thoughts?

Diving A Little Deeper Into The Word

So I started looking deeper into scripture because I really want to strengthen my relationship with God. I have been convicted that I need a more consistent prayer life & to be more persistent in my walk. When I started to break scripture down using the MySword bible app, I was amazed at how much more there is to learn. I had to chuckle after I read this verse and saw how “evil one” was broke down. The accuracy!

Verse studying: We know [with confidence] that anyone born of God does not habitually sin; but He (Jesus) who was born of God [carefully] keeps and protects him, and the evil one does not touch him.-1 JOHN 5:18 AMP
Original: *πονηρός*
Transliteration: *ponēros*
Phonetic: *pon-ay-ros’*
*Thayer Definition*:
-full of labours, annoyances, hardships         -pressed and harassed by labours.                 -bringing toils, annoyances, perils; of a time full of peril to Christian faith and steadfastness; causing pain and trouble.       – bad, of a bad nature or condition.               -in a physical sense: diseased or blind.         -in an ethical sense: evil wicked, bad

I am thankful have such a loving father to protect me from all of the above. I challenge you to not just read scripture, but to really study it, and after you’re done studying The Word, meditate on it, and after that apply it to your everyday life. I am thankful to have brothers and sisters of Christ to hold me accountable. The truth may hurt sometimes, but it’s exactly what we need to hear to strengthen our relationship with God.
