Book Review

Blind Spots: What You Don’t See Can Hurt You is a book to help you understand what blind spots are and how they affect your life and can even be detrimental when not understood. Overall, I really enjoyed the concept of this book. I think they hit the nail on the head by understanding that self-awareness is important in growth in every area of your life. I loved the amount of research that has been done to invest in this book and the audience it targets.

As I said, I really enjoy the concept of this book. However, the style in which it is written was hard for me to relate to. Due to there being so much statistical data such as quotes and other people’s testimonies told from afar, I felt disconnected and not emotionally involved to seek out those blind spots and make the change like this book’s mission had intended. It was very hard to stay connected which in the end made it hard to read and finish.

Overall, I give Blind Spots 2 stars. The low rating is due to the book not accomplishing the vision that they had intended for the book. Blind Spots was also very hard to read on an emotionally intellectual basis which is needed for such an important topic.

A big thank you to New Growth Press and Audra who took the time to allow me to read and review this book.
