Yes today is Monday, and it is the perfect day to do what God has been laying on your heart to do. God has predestined good works for us to do, each and every one of us. But I can almost bet that every single one of us has had someone come along and try to tell us all the reasons why we are not qualified to do it or how it well never work out. May I make a suggestion?
Paul makes it very clear in the first verse of Galatians 1, that him being an apostle was not given to him by man, but through Jesus Christ. Then if you take a gander back to 2 Corinthians 11:5-15, Paul talks about this group of “super apostles” (false apostles) that tried to disapprove him from being an apostle because they said he was not qualified for public speaking. If Paul would have listened to these false apostle would we have most of the New Testament? Instead, Paul comes back boasting in the Lord and speaking about how he knows who Jesus is and because of that he knows who he is. Paul knows that God already approves of him so he does not need anyone else’s approval.
The same goes for you and I! If God has called you to it, he will equip you to do it. He planned the works he had for you long ago before anyone could ever come along and tell you otherwise. If God is telling you one thing and someone is telling you something different, always go with God. You are equipped for every good work through the word of God (2 Timothy 3:16-17).
Today is the best day for you to start doing what God has called you to do.
Be FEARLESS, despite the critics
“Paul, an apostle—not from men or by man, but by Jesus Christ and God the Father who raised him from the dead—” -Galatians 1:1 CSB
“For am I now trying to persuade people, or God? Or am I striving to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ.” -Galatians 1:10 CSB
“Now I consider myself in no way inferior to those “super-apostles.” Even if I am untrained in public speaking, I am certainly not untrained in knowledge. Indeed, we have in every way made that clear to you in everything. Or did I commit a sin by humbling myself so that you might be exalted, because I preached the gospel of God to you free of charge? I robbed other churches by taking pay from them to minister to you. When I was present with you and in need, I did not burden anyone, since the brothers who came from Macedonia supplied my needs. I have kept myself, and will keep myself, from burdening you in any way. As the truth of Christ is in me, this boasting of mine will not be stopped in the regions of Achaia. Why? Because I don’t love you? God knows I do! But I will continue to do what I am doing, in order to deny an opportunity to those who want to be regarded as our equals in what they boast about. For such people are false apostles, deceitful workers, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ. And no wonder! For Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. So it is no great surprise if his servants also disguise themselves as servants of righteousness. Their end will be according to their works.” -2 Corinthians 11:5-15 CSB
“For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared ahead of time for us to do.” -Ephesians 2:10 CSB
“All Scripture is inspired by God and is profitable for teaching, for rebuking, for correcting, for training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.” -2 Timothy 3:16-17 CSB
