You’re Doing Better Than You Think

“The harder you slam a ball into the ground, the higher it bounces back up… A divorce, a breakup, losing a job, or just feeling seriously down can ground you, rough you up a bit, leave calluses on your feet and grit under your finger nails. But more than that, it leaves you wiser and stronger next time… Life is about experiencing opposites isn’t it?”-Laurel House

I have been taking a little break from posting lately. No worries, I am still here!

In the past week, I have been faced in the midst of trials, tribulations, and thing that I never wanted to deal with 2 months before our wedding. However, if there is one thing I’ve learned from my walk thus far is that since I have invited God into my heart, things have changed. I have changed. (Thank God, literally!)

By this I mean, when I may be faced with surgery on my knee 2 months before the wedding. I keep God’s promise in my heart that “We know that for those who love God all things work together for the good, for those who are called according to his purpose.”-Romans 8:28

When before I had a growing relationship with God, I would’ve thought it’s the end of the world!

It’s important to always remember how far God has brought you. From where you were when you were lost to where you are now, A Child Of God.

If you look back at when you first started to pursue a relationship with Christ to where you are now, what do you think?

For me, my mind is blown at the miracles God has provided in my life. The amount of prayers that he has answered and the trust I have in him.

I often, am hard on myself because I want to 50 steps ahead of where I am now. It is not bad to want to grow, but we are also called to be content through every circumstance (1 Thessalonians 5:18). When your goals and drive become something other than positive and productive, you know you need to take a step back and reflect on what may be going on.

If you’re anything like me, sometimes you need to step back and look at what God has done in your life.

Keeping a journal has helped me through the periods where I feel as though I am distant from Abba.

Truth be told, he’s been here the whole time and he’s not going anywhere. “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”-Deuteronomy 31:6

Look at God’s word and declare the promises he has given you & see your life transform.

You’re doing a lot better than you give yourself credit for.

Daily Reminder:

“And not only this, but [with joy] let us exult in our sufferings and rejoice in our hardships, knowing that hardship (distress, pressure, trouble) produces patient endurance; and endurance, proven character (spiritual maturity); and proven character, hope and confident assurance [of eternal salvation].”

‭‭ROMANS‬ ‭5:3-4‬ ‭AMP‬‬
