What is the first thing you do in the morning? Click on Facebook? Let the dog out? Wake up the kids? Grab a coffee? How busy is your schedule? Are you overloaded with work, school, family, and the 10 other commitments you made this week where you just say, “I don’t have time for church”. “I don’t have time to read the Bible”? On my walk so far, the most common thing I hear from people is how they don’t have time to be in his presence. I used to be one of these people. I admit it, I didn’t have time. Ever since I have chose to put The Lord FIRST in my life, everything has fell into place. I know now, when something gets out of order rather quickly. I tend to feel tired all the time, my thought pattern is different, I begin to feel stress and anxiety I haven’t felt in a long time. I was at the point where I deleted social media apps off my phone and took the things that were distracting me from spending time with him away. I choose to dive into scripture, prayer, and worship when I wake up in the morning. I am starting my day off right, if it is in his presence. Put God first over everything. I love Psalm 119. It expresses the importance of his word. His word is the ultimate weapon against satan((“Your word I have treasured and stored in my heart, That I may not sin against You.”PSALM 119:11 AMP)) , his word helps you understand who he is, his word should guide your life and decisions((“I will meditate on Your precepts And [thoughtfully] regard Your ways [the path of life established by Your precepts]. I will delight in Your statutes; I will not forget Your word.”PSALM 119:15-16AMP)) I look forward spending time with my Father everyday and he looks forward to spending time with me. Say Yes to his presence. Study his word. Defeat the enemy. Spread Christ’s love no matter where you go.
Put God first, before anything or anyone else.
What has been holding you back? Is God really your number one priority?
